A 23 year old Ohio woman will spend the month of October in jail after admitting to a drunk and wild weekend dressed in a cow suit. "She is known pretty well around here. She's ‘had it hard’' to say the least," Middletown Municipal Court Judge Mark Wall told The Post. The Judge sentenced the woman to 30 days in jail for her strange tirade. She was hired to wear the cow costume to advertise for a local "haunted trail" theme park. While working Saturday night, she started drinking heavily and then wandered into the streets - blocking traffic and chasing kids, said Police Major Hoffman.
This woman had also urinated in a nearby yard during her drunken escapades , cops said. "It's strange. When I think of Halloween or a haunted trail, I don't really think of cows as scary – but this one sure was," Hoffman said. As the police took her away, the haunted trail's manager grabbed the cow mask away from the woman, but the police allowed her to keep the rest of the outfit on. "It was quite obvious that she had nothing on underneath," Hoffman said. She sobered up in jail over the weekend - wearing the cow costume. The entire time. The jail policy allows for the inmates to wear prison attire while behind bars, but only after an initial court appearance. Even though she was given two nights to sober up, the woman was in a really bad mood on Monday, yelling at everyone. "She was telling everyone to 'suck her udders,'" Hoffman said. "I'm not kidding." Once she arrived in court, she was a bit tamer, Judge Wall said. She waived the right to a lawyer and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. The Ohio woman has been in trouble with the law before. She has an outstanding "failure to appear on a solicitation" rap and still owes $2,733 on that particular offense. "I gave her the max [30 days] in jail, because I believe she's more of a danger to herself than to the community," Wall said. Two listed phone numbers for the woman have been disconnected, and not one family member could be reached for a comment. The judge said facing a cow-dressed defendant was new for him. "We get people dressed in various attire when they're in court," he said. "But this was a first, someone dressed as a cow."
